The Picking Garden was successfully set up on a cloudy Saturday morning – here are some photos of the event. Many thanks to Alice Henry, Cynthia Williams, Sue Burt, Diana Glendon, Don and Ann Lynch, Betsy Reid, Kathy Garner, Bill Meyer, Sasha Golden, Betty Kimnach, and a new gardener from Lincoln Ridge, Kay Peterson, for pitching in. Also many thanks to Steve Blumberg and Bob Curtiss for performing emergency repairs to a leaky water pipe, allowing us to turn back on the water supply for the gardens.
Planting is planned for Friday and Saturday, May 22 and 23, so if you would like to help with that, please contact Alice Henry or come to the garden around 10 am.
If you planned to join the Picking Garden and haven’t turned your form in yet, please get it in as soon as possible. The Picking Garden is one of the benefits of living at Farrar Pond Village, and everyone is welcome to share in the work and partake of the rewards.
